Holly Davis painted a 200 square foot steam-train mural across a cafe wall in downtown Sanford.

The cafe is Henry’s Depot, with palm trees and a big blue sky behind the engine.

The depot is a converted historic railroad building, so a train fit the place.

The same hand paints kids’ rooms, dining rooms and storefronts.

Our studio also takes commissions, teaches art classes and frames and hangs art.

Sanford has a city public art program, run through its Public Art Commission.

The commission chose artist Graham Carraway for a RiverWalk mural.

It also lists a 150th-anniversary Sanford Fire Department mural.

In November 2020, more than 50 temporary butterfly murals filled historic downtown as photo spots.

If your wall sits inside the Historic District, the city also asks for a Certificate of Appropriateness.
